Purpose:Autism is a developmental disorder caused by nervous system disorders.Its typical symptoms include social disorder,stereotyped behavior,lack of eye contact,and social communication ability,interests and behavior patterns are different from those of ordinary people.An autistic patient not only brings great pressure to the society,but also the whole family will be seriously affected and bear great psychological and economic pressure.Therefore,the rehabilitation treatment methods for autism are increasingly valued.Research has confirmed that exercise intervention can effectively improve some symptoms of autism,and different exercises have different effects on autism.This study will use the rumba dance in sports dance as an intervention means to explore whether the rumba dance training has a positive impact on the social emotional function of autistic adolescents.Methods:This study mainly adopts the experimental method to conduct a 12-week rumba exercise intervention on autistic students aged 16-18 in a special school in Beijing.The training content mainly includes the basic steps of rumba dance,basic hand modeling and simple small combinations.Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale and BLERT Emotional Recognition Test were used to test and analyze the subjects before and after intervention.Results:1.The mean value of self-evaluation and self-acceptance of the experimental group was improved from 20.53 before the experiment to 26.00 after the experiment,with a very significant difference(P<0.001).2.The average score of emotion recognition ability in the experimental group was improved from 10.27 before the experiment to 13.13 after the experiment,with a very significant difference(P<0.001).3.After intervention,there was a significant difference in the degree of self-evaluation and self-acceptance between the experimental group and the control group.4.After intervention,the experimental group and the control group have significant differences in emotion recognition ability.Research conclusion:1.The rumba dance training can improve the emotional recognition ability of autistic adolescents;2.The rumba dance training can effectively improve the overall feelings of autistic adolescents about self-worth and self-acceptance,and make their self-evaluation more positive.3.The rumba dance training can improve the social emotional function of autistic adolescents.
