Kiyoshi Motoyuki(hereinafter referred to as Motoyuki),from the standpoint of criticizing "materialistic historiography," chooses to use "Marx’s theory of history"(Motoyuki believes that Marx’s theory of history starts from the accumulation of human history = world history after the original community)to describe the transitional logic of capitalism in world history. It also argues that capitalism is a theory of historical processes that originally created objective conditions for the inevitable "higher social forms".(i.e.,it is not about explaining and organizing the past, but about the future),rather than using the "materialist view of history" and "historical materialism" that are widely accepted by academics. This entails the difficulty of cleansing the textbook system from Marx’s perspective of some key concepts-such as productivity and relations of production, community and society, feudalism and capitalism, and other familiar categories. The textbook system has been gradually built up under the banner of "materialistic view of history" at the expense of various sacrifices. In addition to this,Kiyuki believes that in this process we need to uncover, recover, and explore some of the categories that Marx gave significant meaning to,but which have been used with uncertainty(in the words of Kiyoshi Hirata, the categories that have disappeared). In this work,we need to strictly follow the internal logic of Marx’s thought, and among these disappeared categories,Wangetsu considers "civil society" to be the most important. The so-called Marxian theory of history is to explain the process of the emergence, development, and final destination of civil society,i.e.,the process of community →civil society → socialism.Through the analysis of the formation process of Marx’s civil society, which starts from the Philosophy of Law,develops in the period of the German-French Almanac, and then is baptized by the fire of alienation and division of labor in the period of the Paris Manuscripts, and finally obtains a complete and new civil society thought exclusive to Marx in the Form.Immediately following the discussion of the development of Marx’s thought,in Manuscripts 57-58,the separation of labor and all sameness is used as an entry point to form the urban-rural dichotomy and to analyze the reasons why, among the subaltern, classical antiquity and the Germanic community, only the Germanic community was able to produce civil society. The history of civil society is understood as the history of capitalist development and as Marx’s theory of history. In this way, civil society plays a crucial role in the entire theoretical system of Wang Yue,and it has been an important category in the development of Marx’s thought throughout the whole process. However, according to his interpretation, civil society can only be produced in Western capitalism, and civil society is a product of capitalism, which turns the materialistic view of history into the history of the production of capitalism, which denies the universal significance of Marx’s materialistic view of history and the development of Eastern socialism in reality.
