Max Weber is a famous German philosopher,"rationality" thought is a main line in his ideological system. With the development of modern society and people’s pursuit of ultimate value,Max Weber’s "rationality" ideology has also been increasingly valued by more and more people.Through the study of the idea of "rationality",is not only beneficial for us to better understand social phenomena and human behavior, but also provides us with positive guidance in solving the dilemma of modernity. This article mainly analyzes Max Weber’s ideas from four parts. The first part analyzes the formation trajectory of Max Weber’s "rationality" thought from the perspectives of appearance background and rational tracing.Firstly,Germany, with its rapidly developing economy and relatively backward political and cultural background,as well as its unique family environment, provided a certain historical background for the formation of his "rationality" ideology;Secondly,Kant’s "dichotomy" of rationality, the rational principles of Neo-Kantianism scholars and the influence of Sanbart’s rational thought provide a rational trace to the formation of his "rationality" thought. The second part starts from the dual dimensions of the connotation of "rationality" and the thought of "rationality",and constructs the framework of Max Weber’s "rationality" thought. The third part starts with Marx’s thought of modernity and attempts to find a solution to Max Weber’s paradox of modernity based on the analysis of Marx’s thought of modernity. The fourth part starts from Marx’s view of capitalism, and based on the analysis of Marx’s view of capitalism, evaluates Marx Weber’s ideas, for exploring the value of Max Weber’s ideas.
