Application Of Defamiliarization In Modern Chinese Ceramics

Originally proposed by Viktor Shklovsky,a Russian formalist critic,defamiliarization became a central issue in Russian formalism,which propelled the development of Russian formalist literary theory and made it one of the most influential and widely used literary theories in Western twentieth-century literature.It can be said that defamiliarization forged the edifice of Russian formalist literary studies.Defamiliarization emphasizes the self-regulation of literature and literary independence.It not only freed literary creation from sociological constraints and returned it to aesthetic laws,but also shifted literary research from the outside to the inside.This internal turn in literature influenced other artistic fields,helped to free modern art from functional and sociological constraints,and contributed to the development of the artistic independence of modern art.Both in terms of historical logic and aesthetic connotation,the development of modern Chinese pottery is very similar to the intra-literary turn under the influence of defamiliarization.Therefore,it is of great research significance to combine defamiliarization with the development of modern Chinese pottery.Starting from the two major classifications of ceramic art,sculptural ceramics and vessel ceramics,this paper analyzes the phenomenon of strangeness in modern ceramic art works from the aesthetic and social perspectives by introducing representative works in modern Chinese ceramics,The first part introduces the thesis from the background of defamiliarization and modern Chinese ceramics;the second part mainly explains the theoretical basis of this paper——defamiliarization;the third part starts from sculptural ceramics and analyzes the phenomenon and application method of defamiliarization in sculptural ceramics;the fourth part is to analyze the phenomenon and application method of defamiliarization from the perspective of vessel The fourth part is to analyze the phenomenon and application method of defamiliarization from the perspective of utensil ceramics;The fifth part is the conclusion,which summarizes the application methods of defamiliarization in modern ceramics and provides some implications for the creation of modern Chinese modern ceramics.
