A Study On The Aesthetic Value Of Longmen Book Style

Calligraphy,as one of the four national treasures of China,contains a profound connotation of its own.With the advent of writing,calligraphy was first presented to us as a practical way of writing.In ancient times in China,being able to read and write was a status symbol for literati and scholars.But the development of calligraphy did not stop at the superficial level of practicality;it was also closely linked to artistic aesthetics.This paper takes the aesthetic value of the "Longmen Style" as the object of study,explores the formal and connotative beauty of Longmen inscriptions,and explores the impact on the creation of contemporary inscriptions with its artistic value as the "foundation," and draws on it in a rational way."This paper is divided into four chapters.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter provides an overall overview of the Northern Wei calligraphic scene.It summarizes the overall achievements,works,and calligraphers of the Northern Wei period,and draws out the influence of society on the overall style of calligraphy.The second chapter analyzes Longmen stone calligraphy from an aesthetic perspective.First,it analyzes the political and cultural environment of the Northern Wei period,and identifies the connotation of the "Longmen style of calligraphy" from the perspective of art sociology.Secondly,we analyze the aesthetic value of the Longmen inscriptions,the formal beauty and the sublime beauty of the calligraphy,and the deeper sublime connotation of the beauty.Chapter 3 discusses the aesthetic value of the "Longmen Style" in contemporary calligraphy,and reflects on his own calligraphy.As the study of calligraphic aesthetics continues to develop,the aesthetic connotations of Northern Wei Longmen calligraphy have been enhanced by the breakthroughs in the expression of line quality and the shaping of character space.The Longmen calligraphic style is of great value from an aesthetic point of view,and is of great significance to the creation of calligraphy today.
