Research On Film Screening Activities In Changchun Before 1945

Since the new era,the call for "rewriting film history" has become more and more intense,which has attracted the attention of major film researchers,and the research boom of "films outside Shanghai" has also risen,and "regional film research" has also become an important direction for many researchers.Changchun,as the most important film base after the founding of New China,has made indelible contributions to Chinese films,but behind the glory is Changchun’s decades-long colonial blood and tears.In 1896,the Qing government and Russia signed the Sino-Russian Secret Treaty,the Sino-Russian Joint Venture Eastern Railway Company Contract Charter and the Eastern Provincial Railway Company Renewal Contract,and the two countries jointly built the Middle East Railway and branch lines,and in 1900,the first railway station in Changchun appeared,Russia expanded around the Kuanchengzi Railway Station,forming the Russian Kuanchengzi Railway Annex,and the emergence of the railway objectively promoted the development of various undertakings in Changchun.After the Russo-Japanese War of 1905,Japan and Russia signed the Portsmouth Treaty,and Japan officially took over all Russian rights in Changchun and established a Mantetsu dependency in the Toudaogou area of Changchun.The competition between The Russians and the Japanese and the convenience of transportation have led to more and more foreigners pouring into Changchun,which objectively promotes the arrival of new things in the West,and the film also comes into being in this context.Relying on the early newspaper materials and local chronicles of Changchun,this article divides the Changchun film screening activities before 1945 into three stages.The first stage is the embryonic stage of the rise before the establishment of the Puppet Manchus,focusing on the specific situation of the Changchun film screening activities before the establishment of the Puppet Manchus,clarifying the two similarly named cinemas in the history of Changchun through specific historical materials,and confirming who is the first cinema in Changchun;The second stage is the film screening activities in Changchun in the period from the establishment of the Puppet Manchu to the time period before the establishment of the Puppet Manchu,which are mainly divided into two categories: the development of cinemas and the film screening activities organized by the Puppet Manchu government;The third stage is the monopoly period after the establishment of Manying,focusing on the impact of Manying on private theaters after the establishment and the film screening activities organized by Manying;the last one mainly summarizes and summarizes the characteristics of film screening in Changchun over the past few decades.By combing through historical materials,this paper strives to restore the objective reality of Changchun film screening before 1945,and explores the unique development of Changchun as a city in the early Chinese film screening pattern.Restore the historical truth from a microscopic perspective,look into various fields of social development,and explore the real historical context of Changchun in this period.
