| In order to strengthen the construction of national traditional sports culture,promote the inheritance and innovation of excellent traditional sports,and enrich the historical research of dragon boat racing.Using the literature method,research on the Shanghai Dragon Boat Race during the Republic of China period centered on newspapers and magazines,it was found that the Shanghai Dragon Boat went through four main stages during the Republic of China period:prohibition,restoration,decline and stagnation,and re-booming.The production of dragon boats is relatively simple;there are four main types of dragon boat activities: sacrificial,entertainment,celebration,and competitive;during the Republic of China,Shanghai experienced multiple race injuries such as ship collisions,broken bridges,people fighting,and stampede.In this regard,the local government first issued a ban to reduce the occurrence of injuries,but the ban was not stopped and the governance effect was not good.Then it took governance measures such as dispatching police to maintain order and guiding the dragon boat to be held in a reasonable manner.The governance effect was improved,and the reduction was reduced to a certain extent.Obstacles to the development of dragon boat activities;Shanghai dragon boats have distinct local characteristics and cultural connotations.The urban dragon boats represented by the Bansongyuan race show strong commercial attributes after packaging and operation.Rural dragon boats retain the characteristics of disaster avoidance and human sacrifice Traditional features.The employee races that appeared in the last years of the Republic of China embodied the competitive nature of dragon boats.Women’s races broadened the realistic path of women’s sports participation.The races to raise funds for the families of the War of Resistance Against Japan also demonstrated the patriotic value of dragon boats.In addition,the dragon boat communication with the newspapers and periodicals of the Republic of China as the main medium played a good role in publicity and promotion of the race.During the period of the Republic of China,various Chinese and English newspapers used news reports,advertisements,government announcements,and poetry and photography to widely disseminate the traditional national sport of dragon boat races,including dragon boat races,race customs,dragon boat laws,dragon boat academic discussions,etc..The reports of dragon boat races in the newspapers of the Republic of China broke through the traditional geographical restrictions in the way of dissemination.New-style dragon boat photographs appeared in the dissemination content.At the same time,academic controversies with newspapers as the dissemination field were formed.English newspapers reported on the dragon boat races.It also promotes this national traditional sports to enter the field of vision of Westerners.From the perspective of the history of the dragon boat race,the reports of the dragon boat race in the newspapers of the Republic of China have important research value in academic theory,literature and cultural communication.At the end of this paper,it puts forward the beneficial enlightenment of the investigation results of Shanghai dragon boat in the period of the Republic of China to the development of contemporary dragon boat.On the one hand,based on the current characteristics of the times,do a good job in the development of dragon boats: 1.Expand the main body of dragon boat activities.2.Protect traditional dragon boat folklore.3.Develop modern dragon boat technology.4.Strengthen the propaganda and penetration of dragon boat spiritual culture.In addition,it is necessary to make full use of modern advanced media technology to do a good job in dragon boat communication: 1.Improve the value of dragon boat communication and play the role of mass media.2.Broaden the channels of dissemination and construct a field conducive to the formation of national cultural identity.3.Construct a unique discourse system that is compatible with the national traditional sports folklore and culture. |
