Translation Of Musical Documents Under The Guidance Of Eco-Translatology And Functional Equivalence Theory

Musicals were born in the West in the 19 th century.For Chinese audience,their knowledge of Western musicals mainly comes from the recordings of musical performances,film version of musicals and reference books.Therefore,it is necessary to broaden our knowledge of Western musicals by the translation and study of related literatures.This paper selects the theoretical literature of musical history,musical criticism and musical singing theory for translation research.The author will carry out translation practice under the guidance of Eco-translatology and Functional Equivalence Theory and study the theoretical literature of musical from the aspects of terminology,proper names,sentences structure and thinking logic,and summarize the corresponding translation strategies.
