With today’s increasing development of networked technology, particularly within the context of the Novel Corona-virus pandemic, the Internet has become a vital teaching aid.In recent years, the continuation writing task has been a hot topic in the field of foreign languages. The continuation writing task is a method of writing practice combined with reading comprehension. Its mechanism is interaction and alignment, and its promoting effect on second language acquisition has been verified in several aspects. However, the continuation writing task based on the single interaction between human and text lacks human-human interaction, and few scholars combine the continuation writing task with network interaction. The application of the continuation writing task in the network environment can provide more practical approaches and methods for the research of the continuation writing task, which has strong practical and guiding significance for foreign language teaching. This study adopts the method of qualitative and quantitative research, recruiting 68non-English sophomore students as the research subjects, and explores the effects of different interaction forms and language levels on the quality and alignment of continuation writing through the interaction of pair mode and individual mode. The pair group includes three combinations with different language levels: high-high combinations,high-low combinations,low-low combinations;the individual group includes high-level students and low-level students. And SPSS25.0 was used to make a comparative analysis on the vocabulary alignment and composition quality of students with different interaction forms and different levels in the experiment. The independent sample T-test is used to compare the vocabulary alignment and composition score of the pair group and the individual group, and the univariate inter-group variance analysis is used to compare the vocabulary alignment and composition score of the three interactive combinations of the pair group. Finally,a semi-structured interview of 8 subjects is used to learn their comments and evaluation as a supplement to the quantitative data. The results show that under different interaction forms, the mean amount of vocabulary alignment in the pair group is higher than that in the individual group, and the two groups show significant differences. In terms of composition quality, the composition quality of the individual group is better than that of the pair group, but there is no significant difference between the two groups.Secondly, the vocabulary alignment and composition score of combinations with different language levels are higher than those of the combinations with the same language level. There is a significant difference in the vocabulary alignment, but there is no significant difference in the composition score. The results of this study not only provide a reference for further research in the development of network environment, but also provide inspiration and reference for second language teachers in the form of teaching interaction and grouping in the future network environment.
