| Modern China is undergoing a period of profound social change in which the conflicting relationships between individuals and groups are increasingly evident. In Chinese academia, thinking about the relationship between individuals and groups is mainly based on "individual" and "group" thinking, supplemented by relational thinking. The relationship between individuals and groups is a deep-seated issue in the profound changes that are taking place in Chinese society. This paper explores the representation of relationships in different art forms, including interactive installation art, through literature analysis and case studies. In turn, multiple possibilities for relationships between individuals and groups are proposed and presented in the form of interactive installations. The thesis is discussed from the aspects of preliminary research, design plan and design practice. The first chapter describes the background of the research, the research overviewed and the overall research idea.Chapter two explains the concepts of group relationship, relational thinking, installation art and interactive installation, and the principles and characteristics of combining interaction and installation art,and defines the scope of the study. The third chapter introduces more specific concepts in the final work, including information about DISC personality theory,to provide theoretical support for the design. The fourth chapter elaborates the design objectives, design positioning, interaction design, scene design and other specific design processes and results. The interactive device as three main parts: the interactive end,the display end,and the output end. After the viewer selects the information at the interactive end,the data is transmitted to the display end to trigger the interface changes and the corresponding information is finally output through the selection.Meanwhile, this interactive device can be divided into two major sections, namely virtual and physical.Through the interaction with the physical device, the viewer can influence the change of the relationship between individuals and groups in the virtual space, thus creating a more intuitive and rich insight and reflection on the dialectical relationship between individuals and groups. |
