Error analysis theory is the basic theory in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.How to apply this theory in actual Chinese teaching has always been the focus of academic research.From May 2016 to April 2018,the author had the honor to teach Chinese for two years in Guangqi School,the teaching site of Confucius Institute in The Philippines.During this period,the author collected some audio recordings of students in Guangqi School during HSKK test simulation,combined with the current research status and shortcomings of error analysis theory.This paper analyzes the errors in pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar,analyzes the causes of these errors in detail,and puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies.Through analysis,this paper finds that students’ phonetic errors are reflected in consonants,vowels and tones,and will accompany every process of Chinese learning.Therefore,teachers should help students to lay a good foundation of phonetic learning at the primary stage.More pronunciation exercises should be carried out to encourage students to speak and correct their mistakes and errors in time.The errors in Chinese vocabulary are analyzed and described from the perspective of parts of speech,such as the misuse of nouns,verbs,adjectives,adverbs,numerals,quantifiers,pronouns,conjunctions and auxiliary words.The main reasons for the errors are negative transfer of mother tongue and generalization of target language.Students need to keep repeating and using words in order to master them.Different words need to be explained in different ways in different contexts.Grammar learning is a long process,because students’ Chinese learning is still in the primary stage,has not formed a systematic Chinese thinking mode.Therefore,it is easy for students to make mistakes in learning grammar,such as misaddition,omission,missubstitution and misordering.Based on this,teachers should summarize the rules of grammar errors,explain them step by step from easy to difficult,and insist on long-term practice and lots of practice.
