| Opera,as a kind of art with rich cultural deposits,is a required course for vocal music learners.The success of an opera is inseparable from the shaping of characters.Singers tend to pay more attention to voice skills and ignore the shaping of characters in opera performances.As one of the representative figures of the Italian romantic opera in the 19 th century,Donizetti’s works have an important influence.The Girl in the Army is his representative work of the French comic opera genre.This paper takes the opera "Army Girl" as the main line,starting from the heroine Mary’s point of view,first introduces the opera’s author,creation background and main story.Then,according to the content of the plot and the relationship between the characters,the change of Mary’s personality and mentality was analyzed,and the characterization of Mary was analyzed from the stage performance in combination with the version of actress Natalie Desai.With the main aria of Mary finally "love duet","farewell song" and "hail to the French" as foothold,combining Pu Li and lyrics,from two aspects of music ontology and singing skills of Mary’s music image shaping is analyzed,thus recognizing characters in the opera and the relationship between the music and the importance of the characters in the opera. |
