The Study On The Antithesis Of Xie Lingyun’s Five-character Poem

During the period of Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties,antithesis had come to a complete stage.Xie Lingyun used antithesis in five-character poem to enhance the artistry of poetry and fully show the beauty of symmetry of landscape.At the same time,although previous studies have paid attention to Xie’s antithesis,they often extract examples and rarely involve the statistics of antithesis.As a result,by using the methods of data statistics,comparative research and literature research,this paper makes exhaustive statistics and analysis of the 40 pairs of Xie Lingyun’s five-character poem collected in Wenxuan,and obtains solid basic data.Meanwhile,it makes a detailed investigation of other five-character poem existing in the world,and then carries out research on this basis.There are six chapters in this paper--chapter one is the introduction,which combs and summarizes the antithesis research on Xie Lingyun’s poetry.The second chapter is a general introduction of Xie Lingyun’s five-character poem.The third chapter and the fourth chapter are the analysis of Xie Lingyun’s five-character poem,as well as the pairs of names,places,numbers and colors.Chapter five clarifies the historical status of Xie Lingyun’s five-character poem.The sixth chapter is the summary chapter,summarizes the main characteristics of Xie Lingyun’s five-character poem.There are three innovations in this paper.One is to put forward standards from the three aspects of sentence structure,pronunciation and semantic category to clarify the division of the neat match and the untidy match.The second is to clarify the corpus pairs from the phonetic Angle.Thirdly,it clarifies the historical position of Xie Lingyun’s five-character poem and analyzes the role of Xie Lingyun’s antithesis in the development stage of antithesis.The neat antithesis and the width antithesis are relative.Phonetically,a line with two pairs of antitheses is more effective than one with only one pair,and a line with only one pair is more effective than an unused line.From the perspective of semantic category,the more words in the same semantic category in a line of poetry,the more the couplet works.Xie Lingyun’s five-character poem antithesis played the role of "connecting the past and the future" in the whole development stage of antithesis.His active exploration promoted the further maturity of antithesis skills and pushed the formal beauty of language to its peak.Xie’s poems made posterity attach importance to the cultivation of Chinese characters,words and sentences,and promoted the transformation of ancient poetry to modern poetry.
