A Study On The Artistic Characteristics Of The Glass Inner Space From Steven Weinberg

Since the beginning of the glass studio movement in the United States in the 1970 s,research in the field of casting has made Steven Weinberg one of the most important figures that is indispensable in the history of American glass art.About the techniques of casting and the performance of artistic creation,he has his own unique understanding.This paper takes Weinberg’s glass art creation as the research object,and explores the characteristics of his inner glass space art from his creations.Taking the beginning of the glass studio movement in the United States as the background,this paper sorts,summarizes and analyzes Weinberg’s glass creation,and in terms of social background,craft techniques and life experiences,focuses on his inheritance and transformation of inner glass space performance.First,explore the construction of iconic features in Weinberg’s inner space through the choice of symbols.Second,analysis the visual characteristics in the inner space in terms of light,colour and symmetrical forms.And summarize the artistic performance characteristics of Weinberg’s inner space from three perspectives:dynamics,reality and mood.Finally,explain the influence of Weinberg’s creations on glass art from the perspective of exhibition,collection and education.
