Study On Chinese Immortals And Monsters In Children’s Picture Books

Picture book is an imported book concept,and the development of domestic picture book industry is not as mature as that of foreign countries.The development of domestic picture books in the domestic picture book market is also in a relatively preliminary stage.In the domestic picture book market,picture books introduced from abroad occupy a lot of space.Among them,As a kind of books mainly for children,children’s picture books play a certain guiding role in the development of children’s aesthetic and mental health.Moreover,domestic picture book creators should shoulder a certain sense of responsibility for the inheritance and rejuvenation of Chinese culture.Therefore,when creating domestic picture books,it is necessary to shoulder a certain sense of responsibility for inheriting culture and explore the appropriate path of Chinese excellent traditional culture,so as to achieve the vigorous development of the cultural industry.Among them,the image and culture of Chinese traditional immortals and monsters are not only the artistic and cultural wealth of the Chinese nation,but also the source of inspiration for picture book creation.In today’s domestic market,there is still much room for progress in picture books on Chinese immortals and monsters.This paper takes the illustrations,picture-story books and picture books creation from the novel Journey to the West as examples to study the application of Chinese immortals and monsters,stories and cultural ideas in picture books.It is hoped that today’s creators will create excellent picture books of Chinese immortals and monsters.
