| The thesis mainly focuses on the study on the brushwork and the texture of the oil painting,carding the procedure in which the brushwork and the texture are explored gradually,carrying out discussion on the significance of existence of the brushwork and the texture on the oil painting combining with the creation practice of the brushwork and the texture from the writer.As a kind of painting language,the brushwork and the texture have been regarded by painters as only the trace produced during painting before appearance of direct painting,while this trace was generally considered as unfinished or clumsy performance at the time.To explore the significance of the brushwork and the texture in oil painting,it must be dated back to the form of oil painting at early stage,from the cave painting at earliest period,we could see that the brushwork only played the role of recording at the time;in the Italian fresco painting during 13thcentury,the brushwork had become the necessary technique,which served for the modelling and color of the subject;in Tempera paintings,the brushwork was used for expressing subtler changes in details.After invention of the dry oil,classical oil paintings hid the brushwork under the oil paintings;when Titian created oil paintings with direct technique of painting,the brushwork and the texture had begun to gain brilliant results on the historical stage.the brushwork and the texture are interdependent and influences the final result of presentation of oil paintings.Drawing the same object with different brushworks and textures with the method of control variable,the picture effects obtained from texture and perception are significantly different.As the physical attributes in oil paintings,the brushwork and the texture are the most direct emotional expressions that the painter brings to the audience. |
