Study On The Technology And Aesthetic Characteristics Of Petal Shaped Lacquerware In Song Dynasty

Lacquerware of Song Dynasty plays a very important role in the historical development of Chinese lacquer technology,and petal lacquerware is a clear,meaningful and beautiful model.Petal shaped lacquerware in Song Dynasty had a wide variety and rich appearance,which had a far-reaching impact on the aesthetics of lacquerware in Yuan Dynasty,Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty.This is closely related to the political,economic,cultural,aesthetic background and the development of lacquer technology in the Song Dynasty.The early modeling of petal shaped lacquerware in the Song Dynasty was influenced by the gold and silver ware of the Tang Dynasty.With the passage of time,there were many new shapes,which generally showed the characteristics of changing from complexity to simplicity.The wide application of petal shaped lacquerware in Song Dynasty is inseparable from the innovation and development of process technology,especially the breakthrough of lap tire technology and paint making technology.These progresses are the technical premise for the realization of petal shaped lacquerware.The reason why the petal shaped lacquerware of Song Dynasty has such vigorous vitality,has become a beautiful and elegant representative in the history of lacquerware technology,and has been loved by all levels of society stems from its technological innovation and aesthetic adaptation to the times.This paper will focus on the petal shaped lacquerware of the Song Dynasty,combined with the political,economic,cultural and aesthetic background of the Song Dynasty,and make a comprehensive study on the origin,technology,shape evolution and aesthetic characteristics of the petal shaped lacquerware of the Song Dynasty.Finally,combined with the author’s graduation practice,this paper explores the Enlightenment of petal shaped lacquerware in Song Dynasty to modern lacquer art creation.
