As the head of the eight schools in Jinling,Gong Xian,the exploration of its artistic value is of great significance.Gong Xian’s landscape paintings are expressed in black and white with a strong contrast.Looking at a large number of his paintings,the formation of Gong Xian’s iconic ink expression has a certain internal development vein.The reasons for its formation can be studied from four aspects: First,the influence of artistic creation ideas on the development and formation of forms;Second,the need of pen and ink techniques for image expression and artistic conception communication;Third,the characteristics and performance effects of tool materials;Fourth,the influence of Chinese traditional culture.The composition of Gong Xian’s landscape painting not only inherits the traditional layout,but also has Gong Xian’s own creative innovation.The composition of Gong Xian’s landscape painting is very creative,while Gong Xian pays attention to the sense of form of the picture,and the layout of the picture is similar to the modern plane composition.In Gong Xian’s pictures,there are image symbols condensed from the feeling of nature.In the layout of Gong Xian,according to the needs of the pictures,the figurative natural images and image symbols are arranged alternately,and the interpenetration of elements makes the pictures dynamic,quiet and orderly,making the ink on the paper naturally vivid and vivid.Its ink-accumulating performance is unique in the development of landscape painting,and plays a certain supplementary role in enriching ink-accumulating techniques.Taking "pen and ink management" as the breakthrough point,this paper analyzes the expression forms and pen and ink techniques of Gong Xian’s landscape paintings.
