A Study Of The Imaginative Spaceof Realistic Subject Matter Dance

Dance works with realistic themes occupy the mainstream in contemporary dance creation and have important values.Through the practical study of the dance work "A Letter from the Sea",it is found that the imagery space of the realistic theme dance is expressed in two aspects: the sensitization of the ordinary and the sublimation of the real.After systematically sorting out the rationale,method and main points of the creation of this dance work,three points of view are put forward: firstly,the dance of realistic themes must originate from life and be above life,and its authenticity should be reflected in characterization,emotional expression and plot arrangement;secondly,the creation of dance of realistic themes should face up to the contradictions of reality,and at the same time take the enhancement of positive values as the creative orientation;thirdly,the creation can use the expression techniques of reality,symbolism and contrast to build the dance.Third,the creation can use the expression techniques of reality,symbolism and contrast to build the imagery space of dance,so as to trigger the audience’s association and imagination and realize the sublimation of real emotions in the emotional transmission.Through the multi-dimensional expression of the work and the use of different expression techniques,infinite imagery space can be created in the limited physical space,reflecting the imagery of the work and the authenticity of emotions.I hope these introductions and suggestions can provide practical experience and rationale inspiration for the creation of more dances with realistic themes.
