Research On The Narrative Strategy Of Regional Culture Documentaries

With the development of film and television technology,the real world can be presented to the audience in the form of images.As a form of audiovisual art presentation,documentaries make full use of realistic material and documentary footage to tell stories,and authenticity is its main characteristic,which is directly related to the narrative style of the documentary itself.Narrative can draw the audience’s attention to the ups and downs of a documentary’s plot,provoking fluctuations in thought and emotion and generating strong empathy,making the documentary more profound in conveying its humanistic connotations.The thesis is guided by the theory of film and television narrative,analyzing the narrative structure,narrative perspective,narrative techniques and narrative language of documentaries on regional cultural themes,studying the narrative strategies of documentaries on such themes,and combining them with the theory to analyze my graduation work "Keeping the Village Voice".The thesis firstly explains the definition of the concept of regional culture documentary,its emergence and development,and the symbolic carrier of regional culture documentary.The second chapter discusses the narrative structure of regional culture documentaries,analyzing in detail the linear and non-linear narrative structures.Chapter 3examines the narrative perspective of regional culture documentaries from the perspectives of omniscient narrative and restricted narrative.The fourth chapter analyzes the narrative techniques of regional culture documentaries,and examines them from the perspectives of storytelling narrative,civilian narrative and narrative rhythm in the context of documentaries on such topics.Chapter 5 focuses on the narrative language of regional culture documentaries,and analyzes it in detail in terms of both visual language and sound language.Chapter 6 records and analyzes the filming process and the shortcomings presented,and makes reasonable suggestions in relation to the content theme and narrative strategy,facing up to the problems exposed in the process of transmission through its representation and reflecting on the protection and transmission of dialect culture,to complete the deeper meaning of the thematic expression.
