Research On Lin Chaoxian's Films From An Ethical Perspectiv

"Going north" is a new word that appeared in the history of Hong Kong cinema after the 1990 s,a large number of Hong Kong film and television directors have poured into the mainland to seek new development,and Lin Chaoxian is one of the members who have pioneered,stood out and achieved good results among many "northbound" directors,with "Red Sea Action" and "Mekong Action" won several awards and successful transformation,and his film and television works have balanced the commercial and artistic value of film and television works while combining unique Hong Kong-style humanistic feelings and mainstream ideology of the mainland.While recording the fusion of cultural ideology and concepts,it puts forward criticism and speculation on social phenomena,and finally achieves breakthrough and sublimation in the confused ethical dilemma and crisis.The study of this article is divided into six parts: an introduction,a four-chapter text,and a conclusion.The Introduction section includes the background and origin of text research,the research review of Lin Chaoxian’s films,research priorities and difficulties,research methods and innovations,and research significance,which lays a solid foundation for the writing of the paper.Taking narrative as the ontology is a common feature of literary works and video works,and on this basis,ethical narrative has opened up a new path for the research and development of video works.The first chapter of the main text mainly discusses the ethical narrative theme of Lin Chaoxian’s film,believing that the theme of his film has undergone three changes from the ethical sublimation of jianghu loyalty to the feelings of home and country,from genre to Hong Kong aesthetics,and from the main theme to the new mainstream of ethical appeals.The second chapter discusses the ethical narrative category of the film,divides the ethical topics in Lin Chaoxian’s works into three ethical relationships of society,family generation,and gender,and focuses on analyzing multiple topics such as the chaotic police identity and the crisis of "loyalty" under brotherhood in his film,the problem of missing roles under the intergenerational relationship of the family,parents and victimized children,and the ethical and moral dilemmas faced under the relationship between the sexes.It is intended to play a guiding and warning role in the reshaping and construction of ethical culture and moral concepts in real society in this way.In the third chapter,the author conducts in-depth interpretation and argumentation of the three narrative discourse forms of narrative time,narrative space and narrative symbol code in Lin Chaoxian’s video works,and believes that the narrative time in Lin Chaoxian’s films has two dimensions of narrative time and story time,and believes that it will change the ethical direction and thus increase ethical anxiety by changing the original sequence of time;through different narrative spaces to reflect the living conditions of the characters in the work;and through the changes in sound,light and shadow colors to achieve ethical traction and supplementation.The fourth chapter discusses the aesthetic value of ethical expression in Lin Chaoxian’s films and its creative enlightenment for mainstream films,points out that the ethical expressions in Lin Chaoxian’s films have the value significance of "community aesthetics" and believes that in today’s high-quality development of politics,economy and culture,the emergence of new mainstream blockbusters has a certain inevitability,which is the continuous development and new requirements of the main theme film in the new cultural core,the background of the times and the narrative mode,and the combination of the two can give birth to the next round of new film changes.The final concluding part summarizes all the research and arguments of this paper,arguing that the significance of video works itself is not only the narrative itself,but more importantly,the output and dissemination of ideological values and cultural concepts,and the study of Lin Chaoxian’s films from the perspective of ethics plays a positive guiding role in how to tell Chinese stories and how to disseminate ideologies and values in the current domestic situation,and influences film creators in different ways,so that Chinese films can realize their economy in the process of going to the world.Social benefits are win-win while broadening the global influence of Chinese films.Improving the narrative ethics of Chinese films is imperative and has a long way to go.
