Exploration On The Difficulties And Training Methods Of Vitelia Aria Singing In Opera La Clemenza Di Tito

Mozart has created a large number of outstanding music works in his life,and his creative talent in opera has made great contributions to the development of opera.La Clemenza di Tito is the last opera work of Mozart’s creative career,which fully demonstrates his mature creative skills.This paper focuses on the difficulties and training methods in singing the only two arias of Vitelia,the heroine of the play,Deh se piacer mi vuoi and Non piu di fiori.Vitelia’s emotions in the play are very complicated,from sinister hegemony to kindness and justice.Mozart vividly depicts this extreme contrast through music,which makes people deeply immersed in it.In the two arias,complex difficult aria such as singing in the middle and low range,fast walking,big interval,long line phrases appear many times,which is of high training value for vocal music learners.Only through specific training can we interpret music works more completely and fully interpret Vitelia’s characters.The main body of this paper consists of four parts.The first part is a brief overview of the creative background and plot of Tito’s Mercy,and an analysis of the heroine Vitelia’s character.The second part analyzes the musical text of Vitelia’s two arias in terms of musical form,range,pitch duration statistics,interval relations and phrases.The third part,based on the second part,combined with the author’s own singing experience,extracts the important and difficult points in the singing of Vitelia’s two arias,including the singing of the big interval,the singing of the long line phrases,the singing of the middle and low tones,etc.The fourth part is a summary of the author’s targeted training methods for the important and difficult points in singing two arias during the study with the tutor.I hope this can provide some practice ideas for other vocal music learners when learning Vitelia’s two arias.
