Analysis Of Donitsetti’s Classic Tenor Aria

Gaetano Donizetti is one of the representatives of the Romantic Opera School in Italy,and he created a series of excellent opera works,such as L’elisir d’amore and Spoil her,which promoted the development of Bel Canto.However,most of the current master’s research focuses on the singing analysis of a certain Aria in Caiti,Dornie.Few studies have explored Donizetti ’ s techniques of characterization and plot progression by comparing several Arias.This article starts with the four Arias in the two operas,through the analysis of characters,music,singing and performing skills,to sum up Donizetti’s opera creation on the tenor timbre requirements as well as on the tenor vocal technique and performance ability to improve,and hope to guide their own artistic practice through the study and summary of these theories.The paper is divided into three parts:The first part provides the theoretical basis for the thesis by summarizing Gaetano Donizetti ’ s contribution to the new period of Bel Canto School and the background of the Operas <l’elisir d’amore>and <La Favorita>.The second part is the analysis of the tenor role in the opera to understand the character characteristics and plot development to provide emotional basis for singing and writing papers.The third part is the key part of this paper,through the analysis of four typical Arias,summarizes the tonality,technique and performance requirements of Donizetti’s classical tenor Arias.
