A Study On The Influence Of Han Culture On "Crystal Beads

The Crystal Pearl of the History of the Great Yuan State is one of the Mongolian historical prose works of the 18 th century.Briefly called The Crystal Pearl,it was compiled by Laxipengsike from Xielisandengtai Barin Right Banner.Laxipengsike began to write The Crystal Pearl of the History of the Great Yuan State in the Qianlong period 39 th year(1774)and completed it in the Qianlong period 40 th year(1775).The origin of the Mongolian people was described in The Crystal Pearl,which explained the meaning of the word "Mongolia" and the social profile of Mongolia at that time.It described the ancestors of Genghis Khan,the historical facts of Genghis Khan’s journey to Ererkehonggeer,and the aphorisms of Genghis Khan.It contained valuable information not found in the Chinese version of the Yuan History and the Sequel to the Zizhi Tongjian.It also mainly described the descendants of the eleven sons of Dayan Khan Batumonk and the descendants of the sons of Genghis Khan,Jochi and Chaatai,as well as the brothers of Genghis Khan,Hasaer,Belegutai,Hechiwen,Temugetichijin and Tabunang.Since the advent of this historical essay,predecessors have been studying it from various aspects,including literature,philosophy,historiography,and so on.From my systematic reading and analysis of Laxipengsike’s The Crystal Pearl,I have come to the conclusion that the influence of the Chinese culture shown therein is also quite significant.Therefore,this thesis will focus on the analysis and study of Chinese cultural influences presented in Laxipengsike’s The Crystal Pearl.The thesis consists of three parts: introduction,three main chapters,conclusion,and etc.The introductory section introduces the object of this dissertation,an overview of the study,the reason for selecting the topic,and the research methodology.The main part of the text consists of three chapters that focus on the specific aspects of Chinese cultural influence in Laxipengsike’s The Crystal Pearl.The first chapter summarizes and concludes the traditional terms of Chinese culture used in the textual expressions of Laxipengsike’s The Crystal Pearl,i.e."Ganzhi chronology","comparison of titles and official ranks between Mongolian and Chinese","phonetic translation of Chinese characters,etc." influenced by Chinese culture.".The second chapter is mainly to sort out and summarize the historical figures and events related to the Han recorded in the narrative of The Crystal Pearl by Laxipengsike,and analyze and study them in two aspects: "Sino-Mongolian relations","Sino-Manchu relations",etc.The third chapter focuses on analyzing out the content of the annotations in the The Crystal Pearl.Three aspects are analyzed: criticism of historical figures,criticism and identification of events,and annotations on omissions or poorly documented historical events.In the context of mutual cultural influence and intermingling,it is also particularly important and meaningful to study the Chinese cultural influence on The Crystal Pearl.The exchange between different cultures has made it harmonious and different,tolerant and open.
