Since oil painting was introduced into China,it has started the development process of "nationalization of oil painting",which has become an important issue in the research of Modern Chinese fine arts.The Chinese nation is a "big family" jointly formed by 56 ethnic groups.Therefore,the understanding of "nationalization of oil painting" should not only focus on a single ethnic group or the ethnic characteristics presented in mainstream paintings,but also on the contemporary and ethnic research of oil painting themed by ethnic minorities.In this paper,the analysis and research of the contemporary oil painting subjects for Inner Mongolia minority from three aspects: one is the research object of ontology and historical development,adopting the research methods of art history,analysis of Inner Mongolia minority oil painting development environment,process and main influencing factors,and clear Inner Mongolia minority oil painting in the main characteristics of each stage of development.On this basis,combined with the time background of the work,the composition of the artist group and other factors,the analysis of the development of contemporary Inner Mongolia minority oil painting,internal and external reasons.The second is to analyze Inner Mongolia’s natural ecology and folk culture,as well as its unique ethnic spirit and artistic aesthetic orientation.From natural ecology to ethnic custom,from historical subject to religious belief,from portrait painting to group creation,from female subject to pommel horse culture,etc.,this paper analyzes the deep expression of grassland ethnic culture in oil painting.The third is the analysis of the formal language,aesthetic characteristics and aesthetic connotation of oil painting itself.The content of contemporary Inner Mongolia minority theme oil painting reflects the commonness of artistic characteristics,which is not only caused by the scope of the theme,but also has the internal connection of ethnic aesthetic culture.Therefore,through the unique regional characteristics and profound grassland culture connotation mentioned above,as well as typical aesthetic images,To clarify the contemporary and ethnic character of Inner Mongolia minority theme oil painting creation.
