Investigation And Research Of Guanlong Ancient Road Site In Zhangjiachuan County,Gansu Province

The ancient Longshan Mountain in history is today’s Xiaolongshan Mountain,which is now Guanshan Mountain.There are many roads to cross Longshan,and it has long been recorded in history texts.Zhangjiachuan County is adjacent to Longshan Mountain in the east,and it has been a key part of the Guanlong Ancient Road through the ages.The unique geographical location of Zhangjiachuan County makes itself important on the Guanlong Ancient Road.There are many ruins along the Guanlong Ancient Road in its territory.The investigation and research on it will not only help to fully understand the history and culture of Zhangjiachuan County,but also help development of cultural undertakings in Zhangjiachuan County.At present,there are three ancient Guanlong roads that cross Longshan and enter Zhangjiachuan County: 1.Panxu Road on the north line,which enters Zhangjiachuan from Zhuanglang County;2.Guanlong Road on the middle line,which is divided into new and old roads,all from Guan Town,Long County,Shaanxi Province enters Zhangjiachuan County;3.Xianyiguan Road on the southern line,from Xianyiguan Village,Guguan Town,Longxian County,Shaanxi Province,enters Zhangjiachuan County.There are many relics along the road,including national,provincial and county-level cultural relics protection units that have been rated.Through the investigation of the ruins along the three routes,combined with the literature data to restore the direction of the Guanlong Ancient Road in Zhangjiachuan County,it is found that the Guanlong Ancient Road entering Zhangjiachuan County has a central meeting point,and there are overlapping parts between different ancient roads.There are also overlapping sections with today’s highways.Therefore,clarifying the direction of the ancient road not only has a reference for the related road research proposed by scholars,but also provides data for the study of related issues in the history of Zhangjiachuan County,which plays an important role in promoting the regional culture and cultural relics protection of Zhangjiachuan County.
