The construction of community culture is a long-term research field concerned by scholars of various disciplines. The investigation of the relationship between Chinese traditional local culture and the development of modernity has attracted the attention of sociologists in recent years.Under the guidance of policy,"village to residence" community,as an important stage of urbanization,is bound to encounter many problems in the process of space production and subsequent community management. In this new field, different subjects have their own action logic. At the same time, they are affected by this new space and become the internal logic of community cultural change. From the perspective of traditional modern theory, using the data about l village obtained by field visits and interviews, this paper analyzes the impact on rural cultural change after space production. When discussing community cultural change,it is mainly carried out from two aspects: exogenous cultural change and endogenous subjective cultural change,as well as from traditional and modern This paper analyzes the relationship between modern "village to residence" community and rural traditional culture from three aspects: big tradition and small tradition, big society and small place. The study found that under the background of "village to residence",the development of Chinese rural local culture presents two different action tracks:endogenous and exogenous. When comparing the two situations,it is found that the villagers,as the main body, have a set of modernity plans and become an important social driving force,The government’s overall planning and the visible profit space based on temple reconstruction are actually driven by power and capital. The government, villagers and developers play games with each other based on different interest demands. The villagers and the government "bargain" in space allocation and space exchange. In the game with developers, the villagers make concessions based on the limitations of tourism consumption. At the same time, the government and developers also have a competitive and collusive relationship in the construction of interest pattern; Therefore, the compromise result under the comprehensive consideration of market and human feelings finally shaped this cultural space and affected the community social relations, lifestyle and sense of belonging. To sum up,the move of "village to residence" has had an important impact on the community. In particular, the urbanization of western rural areas presents stronger transitional characteristics.Structural culture and subjective culture(local belief)are constructed mutually, which jointly shape the change of rural community culture, and behind this cultural change lies the non separable relationship between tradition and modernity.
