| In the course of the 100-year development of the Communist Party of China,a series of major events have occurred that affect the destiny of the country and the people,and a group of outstanding figures who have fought for the rejuvenation and rise of the Chinese nation have emerged.Through historical study and official propaganda,these constitute the collective memory of Chinese people.However,in the new media environment,the tendency of entertainment has increased,and the construction of collective memory has been impacted.Especially in the field of video communication,entertainment information and short videos have squeezed the space for Political Commentary Films.Collective memory,as Chinese precious spiritual wealth,should be a key area of protection.However,in such an environment,the trend of collective "amnesia" is obvious,which deconstructs the collective memory and value identity of the Chinese nation.In 2021,the broadcast of a large number of party history documentaries will alleviate this phenomenon,create a strong atmosphere of "learning party’s history" in the whole party and the whole country,and play an active role in awakening the collective memory of the people.Therefore,this thesis selects " Refining into Steel: 100 Years of the Communist Party of China" as a research sample to study the innovative strategies adopted by the party history documentaries in the new era in the construction of collective memory,and explore how the party history documentaries play a role in building consensus and activating memory.This thesis mainly adopts the method of literature research,text analysis and case analysis.On the premise of understanding the development of collective memory research,combined with the dissemination of party history documentaries,it makes a specific analysis of " Refining into Steel: 100 Years of the Communist Party of China".The specific research ideas are as follows: In the first chapter,a theoretical overview is given,the concept and development of "party history documentary" and "collective memory" are clearly explained,and the combination of the two is pointed out.The second chapter introduces the selection of symbols and themes of the research sample " Refining into Steel:100 Years of the Communist Party of China ",highlighting the importance of content selection and the principles of figurative and popularization in the construction of collective memory in party history documentaries.The third chapter summarizes the innovation of the program in terms of technology and narrative by observing the pictures and commentary of the research samples,emphasizing the significance of the transformation of technical means in party history documentaries in the new era to the construction of collective memory.The fourth chapter analyzes the creation purpose of the research sample and its role in emotion from the creator’s point of view,points out the necessity of constructing collective memory,reflects on it,points out the advantages and disadvantages of the research sample in constructing collective memory,and proposes some suggestions on the history of the party and the realistic inspiration of documentary construction of collective memory.The study found that the strategy of constructing collective memory in " Refining into Steel: 100 Years of the Communist Party of China " is mainly divided into three parts:selection,activation and reproduction.In the selection stage,the construction concept of "small incisions refracts big themes" is realized by selecting themes and specifying cultural symbols;in the activation stage,the use of audio-visual technical means and the innovation of narrative means make the text content vivid and further activate collective memory;reproduction In this stage,the content is more impactful and the audience’s emotions are strengthened with binary opposition issues,and finally the dual goals of constructing collective memory and arousing the audience’s emotions are achieved.In addition,the study also found common problems in the construction of collective memory in party history documentaries,namely,a single construction subject,lack of interaction in construction content,and dissemination channels ignoring realistic paths,and put forward suggestions calling for multi-party participation,attaching importance to audience research,and opening up online and offline paths in order to better construct collective memory and maintain national consensus and value identity. |
