Aria "Did You Know? Good Mother" Works Analysis And Singing Exploration

The one-act opera "Cavalleria Rusticana",with a libretto by Targioni Tozzetti and Menaschi,based on a short story originally written by Verga,and a score by Mascagni,was first performed on May 20,1890 at the Teatro alla Constanzi in Rome,where it was a success."Do you know?Good Mother" is a monologue in which Santuzza tells her mother Lucia about her complicated relationship with Turiddu and Lola.This thesis presents an in-depth analysis of this aria,to gain a deeper understanding of the work,to learn the techniques of singing and stage performance,to use theoretical knowledge to guide my singing practice,to gain a deeper understanding of the character’s form,and thus to express the character of the work in a vivid way.And according to the content of the study,I guide my singing practice in the master’s graduation concert,so as to achieve a better singing effect,vividly express the character image,and form their own practical singing experience.
