Research On The Application And Characteristics Of Christopher Nolan’s Film Sound And Painting

Christopher Nolan has successfully established himself as one of Hollywood’s most unshakeable actors with his ingenious storytelling,characterization and profound themes.His film and television works have been recognized by the majority of film scholars.This thesis draws lessons from the previous theoretical research in this area and conducts its own analysis and exploration to elaborate on the application and characteristics of Christopher Nolan’s film sound and painting.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces in detail the lens language and music technique in Nolan’s film works through sorting and analysis.According to the genre,it can be roughly divided into science fiction,suspense and action war.The second chapter mainly introduces the unique narrative features of Nolan’s films,which can be divided into three parts: fragmentation,inversion and stratification according to the narrative logic.The different narrative modes and characteristics under different narrative structures are explained respectively.The third chapter mainly introduces the features of Nolan’s film works in the process of exploring the main body of the film.It can be divided into three aspects: creation subject,appreciation subject and performance subject.According to the relationship among the three,"subject uncertainty" is extended.The fourth chapter takes aesthetics as the starting point to study the aesthetic characteristics contained in Nolan’s films through aesthetic theory.It mainly includes three aspects: atmosphere beauty,science and technology beauty and art beauty.Among them,the beauty of atmosphere extends to the beauty of nature and life,the beauty of science and technology extends to the beauty of science and technology,and the beauty of art extends to the beauty of tragedy and reality.The final conclusion is a summary of the whole article,including the application of sound and painting and the characteristics of all aspects of the film,as well as the exploration of the realistic significance of Nolan’s films.
