A Study On The Time And Space Artistry Of Book

Books are common items in life and are closely related to human production and life.The book art in China has existed for thousands of years.Although the main purpose of the book is practical at first,the pursuit of the beauty of books continues to exist and develop.In the nineteenth century,British designer William Morris clearly proposed that books belong to one of the categories of art.In the 20th century,domestic scholars also put forward the view that "books are art".With the competition between digital media and traditional paper media,book art has attracted more and more attention in recent years,and related researches are also increasing.In addition to the discussion of its design methods,it also includes some discussions on its temporal and spatial characteristics..This article mainly studies and discusses the space-time artistry of books,and how to reasonably express the space-time artistry of the books through design language.First,briefly describe the concept of book art,and summarize the enlightenment for contemporary book art by analyzing its development.Then it analyzes the temporal and spatial artistic characteristics of books from two aspects of physics and psychology,and compares them with the temporal and spatial characteristics of other art categories,and summarizes the temporal and spatial artistic characteristics of books.Then conduct research on excellent book design cases,analyze how these designers express the art of space and time in books through design language,and extract their design rules.Finally,the above results are tested through design practice,and the problems that should be paid attention to when designing books are summarized,which can serve as a reference for designers to a certain extent when exploring the time and space artistic issues in books.
