| As exchanges and trade between China and South Korea become more active,Korean companies are constantly in need of Chinese talent, and many Koreans are trying to become proficient in Chinese language in line with this social trend.Chinese has become one of the first options for Koreans to learn a second language, and the major reference criteria for large corporation to evaluating whether their employees are Chinese-talent are certificates of proficiency. As a result, job seekers and even Korean workers in large corporations are actively preparing for the Chinese language proficiency related test.Among them,TSC certificates from Korea and HSK certificates from China have become the best choices for Korean students who study Chinese, and Korean applicants mainly prepare for the test through test-related teaching aids. For Korean students who study Chinese, both HSK and TSC are the tests which evaluate student’s speaking skills. Thus,in this paper, author compared and contrasted two different sets of teaching aids(typical elementary-level Chinese speaking aids):<HSKK Elementary Level Sample Question>and<TSC Basic Sample Question>published by the Chinese and Korean each individual examination authorities. And by comparing those 2 teaching aids with<International Standard for Chinese Language Education Level>,author did a research on coverage-rate of ’international standard’ based on 3 parts-syllable,vocabulary,grammar to compare and contrast the linguistic element’s coverage-percentage in each individual teaching-aids.By this analysis, author found out that<HSKK Elementary Level Sample Question>has higher coverage-rate on syllable part;<TSC Basic Sample Question>has higher coverage-rate on both vocabulary and grammar parts. In addition, combined with qualitative and quantitative research, this paper compares and analyzes the differences and similarities between the two sets of teaching aids in terms of language elements and the presentation of exercises. Finally, based on finding pros and cons of the two sets of teaching aids, this paper gives HSK and TSC some enlightening suggestions for compiling the general Chinese speaking teaching aids and hopes to provide reference for the design of the elementary-level Chinese speaking teaching aids in the future. |
