A Study On Zichang Dialect And Folk Culture

Located in the north of Shaanxi Province,Zichang dialect belongs to Wutai dialect of the Jin language,which records not only the language of the people in Zichang,but also the local folk culture.Zichang folk culture also reflects Zichang dialect to some extent.The two are inseparable and interdependent.This paper takes Zichang dialect and folk culture as the research object,starting from two angles of dialectology and folklore,from the aspects of the general situation of Zichang city and Zichang dialect,the characteristic expression of Zichang dialect,Zichang dialect and folk culture.On the basis of respecting the facts of dialect,this paper generalizes the phonetic,lexical and grammatical features of Zichang dialect and analyzes its unique phonetic,lexical and grammatical phenomena.At the same time,based on the unique natural environment and the long historical and cultural background of Zichang,this paper discusses the unique folk cultural connotation of Zichang by analyzing Characteristic folklore vocabulary.In this way,we can enrich the research results of the northern Shaanxi dialect and folk culture,and do our utmost to the inheritance and development of local folk culture.The paper is composed of three parts:The introduction mainly talks about Zichang dialect and folk culture starting from four perspectives: research background,research status,research methods and research value,which defines the connotation of folk culture and introduces the basic situation of pronunciation partners and the style of the article.The text part is mainly divided into three chapters.Chapter one focuses on the general situation of Zichang and Zichang dialect.The general situation of Zichang mainly introduces its geographical location,evolution,establishment and population profile.The general situation of Zichang dialect focuses on the attribution and division of Zichang dialect,describes the phonology of Zichang dialect,and summarizes its phonetic,lexical and grammatical characteristics.Chapter two describes the characteristic expression of Zichang dialect.In the aspect of phonetics,it focuses on the four unique phonetic phenomena of the non-overlapping two-character group tone Sandhi,literary and colloquial pronunciation,er-hua and combination tone in Zichang dialect.In the aspect of vocabulary,this paper focuses on the analysis of seven kinds of characteristic words in Zichang dialect,such as archaic words,inverse order words,Sound-splitting words,the words prefixed with "Ge"(圪),the words prefixed with "Hu"(忽),the words prefixed with "Bu"(不),the words prefixed with "Ri"(日),and sums up their lexical features.In the aspect of grammar,this paper not only describes and generalizes the aspectual system of Zichang dialect,but also analyzes the characteristics of "Ba"(把)construction,the sentences with both "Ba"(把)structure and "Jiao"(教)structure,the comparative sentence in Zichang dialect.Chapter three describes Zichang dialect and folk culture.That is to say,through the explanation of dialect vocabulary,to explore the Zichang’s diet,residence,marriage,funeral,appellation and temple of six aspects of folk cultural connotation.In terms of diet,the five food groups,namely,millet,buckwheat,potato,bean flour,flour and meat,were used as classification criteria.In terms of cave-dwelling,the cave culture in Zichang area is analyzed from the perspectives of heated brick bed and cooking range.In terms of marriage,the marriage culture of Zichang is explored from the three stages of matchmaking,marriage-seeking and marriage-welcoming.In terms of funeral,this paper explores the funeral culture of Zichang area.There are three stages,respectively,expiration,into the muffin and burial.In terms of appellation,this paper mainly introduces the relative appellation and non-relative appellation,and probes into the connotation of its folk culture.In terms of temple fair,it focuses on the folk customs of temple fair in Zichang area,and summarizes the characteristics of temple fair culture.The conclusion summarizes the full text content,discusses the research value of the combination of Zichang dialect and folk culture,and looks forward to the future.
