| This paper takes Bian Jingzhao’s flower-and-bird paintings as the research object.Bian Jingzhao’s flower-and-bird paintings are dominated by the fine brushwork and heavy color style with elegant outline,ink and color,and have become the typical representative of the flower-and-bird paintings in the Ming Dynasty.The Ming Dynasty was a great turning point of the flower-and-bird painting in the courtyard style.The symbolism of the flower-and-bird painting in the courtyard style was extended,bearing the spirit of The Times and traditional thoughts,reflecting the change of the painter’s thoughts and emotions,artistic style and aesthetic taste in the early Ming Dynasty.This paper analyzes the historical background of the development of the flower-and-bird painting in bian Jing Zhao.It is of great research value to discuss the reasons for the popularity of bian Jingzhao’s flower and bird paintings in Ming Dynasty and the innovation of his artistic style.The flower-and-bird paintings in the Court of Ming Dynasty inherit the experience of predecessors and superimpose new painting elements,namely,reproduce the flower-and-bird paintings in the courtyard style of song Dynasty and express the spirit of The Times in Ming Dynasty,with diversified forms.Bian Jingzhao,as one of the main representatives of flower and bird painting in the early Ming Dynasty,played a role in the development of flower and bird painting,which was inseparable from the social environment of the Ming Dynasty.Economic life,political ecology and ideological culture created a suitable soil for the development of Bian Jingzhao’s flower and bird painting.Under the influence of the spirit of The Times,Bian Jingzhao’s painting forms,painting contents and thoughts and feelings take on a new look.Based on the historical materials of Bian Jingzhao’s life background and the development of flower and bird paintings recorded in local Chronicles and literati notes of the early Ming Dynasty and after Ming Dynasty,this paper analyzes the spiritual connotation conveyed by Bian Jingzhao’s flower and bird paintings from the perspective of bian Jingzhao’s life background,artistic style and the change of thoughts and emotions.So as to clarify the inheritance and evolution of flower and bird painting as one of the representatives of Ming dynasty courtyard style.Through the collation and analysis of these historical materials,it is of great benefit for the author to study the process of the court painters’identification of their self-declared identity and the change of their attitude towards "affection","reason","elegance" and "vulgarities" under the influence of the political background,commodity economy and cultural thoughts of the Ming Dynasty.It is of great value to clarify the meaning of flower and bird painting of Bian Jingzhao. |
