On The Cancer Writing In Novels Since The New Period

From the perspective of the relationship between body and environment,this thesis analyzes the cancer writing in novels since the new period from the aspects of environmental connotation,the body-environment interaction,and environmental ethics,studies the environmental consciousness contained in literary texts,and points out the literary and cultural significance of cancer writing.The full text consists of introduction,text(four chapters)and conclusion.The introduction is mainly divided into two parts.The first part introduces the reasons of choosing the topic;The second part reviews the research status of cancer writing at home and abroad.The text includes four chapters.The first chapter mainly studies the environmental connotation of cancer writing in novels since the new period.The first section focuses on the relationship between cancer and physical environment.First of all,through the investigation of the occurrence time of cancer,it can be seen that cancer is not a modern disease.As the environment continues to deteriorate along with the progress of industrialization,the incidence rate of cancer is also increasing.Secondly,combined with the basic writing mode of cancer writing,and with the help of specific examples and data,the specific relationship between cancer and environmental pollution is explored to explore the environmental significance of cancer in cancer writing.Based on the concept of “environmental orientation”,the second section studies the two types of cancer writing,which are relatively obvious environmental orientation and unnatural themes,analyzes the implied “interaction between culture and environment” and“environmental unconsciousness” in the text,so as to further excavates the environmental connotation in cancer writing since the new period.The second chapter mainly explores the interaction between body and environment of cancer writing in novels since the new period,mainly based on the theory of the interaction between body and environment.The first section mainly analyzes the shaping of body by the physical environment in cancer writing.As an active subject,the environment will change the human body in subtle ways.The inherent environmentality of the body further strengthens the shaping of the body by the environment.The second section mainly studies the transformation of the body to the environment in cancer writing.First of all,the body is not a machine commanded by the soul,but exists as a “bodymind”,so this means that the body has initiative.Secondly,the body is the material basis of human existence,so the real bearer of space activities is the body.Therefore,in the process of transforming the environment,the real action is the acyive body.The third chapter mainly studies the environmental ethics in the novel of cancer writing since the new period.The first section mainly analyzes the ethical relationship between human and natural in cancer writing from the perspective of “natural rights”.The emphasis on “natural rights” and its internal value in cancer writing shows that human beings should bring non-human existence into the scope of moral concern and take the initiative to bear the ethical responsibility for the natural.The second section mainly studies the intragenerational justice in cancer writing.From the criticism of cancer writing on the unjust transfer of environmental risks in some developed countries,we can see its emphasis on the principle of “distributive justice”,that is,the environmental benefits and environmental burden should be distributed fairly.The third section mainly analyzes the intergenerational ethics in cancer writing.The core issue of intergenerational ethics is how to reasonably allocate resources and share environmental obligations among different generations.According to the principle of human equality,future generations should also be included in the scope of ethical relations.Contemporary people should undertake environmental obligations to future generations in order to safeguard their environmental rights,which is the purpose of cancer writing to emphasize intergenerational ethics.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the significance of cancer writing in novels to the construction of environmental culture since the new period.The first section analyzes how the writing mode of cancer writing influences writers from the perspective of literature.Firstly,by analyzing the way cancer writing shows the environmental crisis,we affirm its difference from other typical environmental texts.Secondly,this difference is conducive to broaden the expression of writers’ environmental imagination and the research vision of scholars.The second and third sections analyze how cancer writing can realize the construction of environmental culture by means of text from the perspective of culture.The second section starts with the relationship between culture and environmental consciousness,explores how environmental consciousness is presented in specific literary works,and emphasizes the important role of text reading in generating environmental consciousness.The third section mainly analyzes the positive effect of humanistic care contained in cancer writing on cancer patients and non-human existence.The conclusion mainly summarizes the research on cancer writing in the novel since the new period,and looks forward to environmental criticism from the perspective of the relationship between disease and environment.
