Abstract/Summary:
At a time when visual images dominate the aesthetic paradigm,network reality show has a good audience affinity with its close-to-life scenes,novel and interesting clips and resonant themes,occupying a broad market of Internet comprehensive and inspiring good responses.This paper takes network reality show as the research object,and on the basis of sorting out its development status,based on its subculture and popular culture attributes,taking specific programs that are typical of high popularity as examples to carry out cultural research to explore how it shows "real people" and "real people’s life".The full text is divided into the following five parts:The introduction part focuses on the reason for choosing the topic,the research status,and the research ideas and methods.The network reality show is rich and diverse in form,novel and unique in content,and has a strong momentum in the entertainment market.This paper takes text reading and culture analysis as the main methods,on the basis of dismantling the elements of the program.It extracts the keywords of online reality show variety shows,from the theoretical perspectives of identity,feminism,postmodern culture,daily life aesthetics,etc.This part dialectically interprets the way that the program shows the real world,discusses social topics,and exports cultural meaning inside network reality show.The first chapter defines and sorts out the emerging concept of "Internet reality show variety show" and its development process.This chapter starts with the concepts of "network variety show" and "reality show",extracting their commonalities,retaining their respective characteristics,and makes a clear conceptual definition of "network reality show" in the integration of the two.Since the development of network reality show has not been achieved overnight,this chapter sorts out its process and distinguishes it from other network variety shows from the perspective of diachronic and synchronic in order to achieve a more complete development overview.The second chapter starts from the cultural attributes of the network reality show and explores what kind of changes it has experienced in the context of the new era.From the perspective of its production and broadcasting,the network reality show naturally has the attributes of online subculture,characterized by niche innovation,and a new form of popular culture,with entertainment and curiosity as the pursuit of fun.However,as a cultural product in society,the inherent cultural attributes of network reality show are bound to adapt to the external environment.Therefore,there are interactions and games between popular culture and elite culture,subculture and mainstream culture in the show.Network reality show achieves the marriage of elite culture and popular culture by introducing intellectuals,combining Internet sense editing and literary copywriting,etc,and demonstrates subculture style by constructing trendy images,collaging irrelevant elements,and reconstructing meaning systems.Under the control and inclusion of mainstream culture,it integrates mainstream cultural concepts such as patriotism,core values,and social welfare,and develops in the direction of comprehensive quality improvement while satisfying individual entertainment requirements.It is precisely in this fusion of cultural attributes that network reality show can show a unique perspective on social topics。The third chapter discusses the content construction and cultural implication of network reality show.In the content domain of "real people",the network reality show selects guests with different types,identities and personalities and deeply roots in multiple fields such as family,love,and workplace,revealing the contemporary public’s role under the conflict of multiple roles.First of all,the network reality show shows the differences between people of different ages due to the changes in life and the renewal of ideas,and reveals the contradiction between the young and the old.In the crack of the generation gap,the authoritative prefigurative culture declines,and the new postfigurative culture rises,achieving the reverse transmission of culture.Secondly,network reality show uses differentiated gender subjects to question the traditional status and stereotypes of men and women,and breaks through the one-way logic of "watching" and "being watched" in traditional programs.It also express female consciousness and discourse,and breaks male Aura of deification,taking care of male thinking logic,hoping to explore an intimate relationship based on universal human nature,and advocating harmony between the sexes.Finally,the network reality show provides the audience with a "mirror" for comparison,and pushes the individual to move through the imaginary "self" to the real "social self",and finally forms a social identity in a broader social relationship.Regardless of identity,network reality show advocates understanding and dialogue and promotes the construction of the same subject.The fourth chapter is mainly concerned with the presentation of "real people’s life".The network reality show conforms to the "small narrative" cultural shift of caring about life,the world,and the experience.It has the spirit of the common people,and provides participation for the public with diverse charm and open discourse space.The opportunity for discussion has become a new type of public sphere that can generate multiple meanings and public opinion orientation.When satisfying people’s perceptual desires,the network reality show presents life aesthetically,using a joyful and warm way to eliminate people’s sense of depression and dullness,and finally points to the all-round development of individuals and the perfection of society at the level of transcendental ideals.So it builds a four-dimensional world of "real world-new public realm-aesthetic daily life-realism Utopia".In the conclusion part,this paper puts forward the problems that still exist in the current network reality show such as limited innovation,unbalanced resources,uneven quality of guests,incomplete supervision,and puts forward constructive suggestions for improvement in this regard.This part hopes that network reality show can bring greater economic,social and cultural benefits and contribute quality power to the development of the entertainment industry.
