Research On Jiaoji Railway Report In Dazhong Daily(1939-1949)

Through the selection and reorganization of "discourse" and "story",the news narrator can give the specific meaning direction to the report text and guide the audience’s interpretation and cognition.Dazhong Daily has been shouldering the mission of "serving the Anti-Japanese War" since its inception,and its report on Jiaoji Railway,as a strategic hub and the core area of workers’ revolution during the war,has played an important role in conveying information,encouraging mobilization and enlightening culture.Combining with the news narrative theory Angle of view,on January 1,1939 to October 1,1949 public daily reported Jiaoji railway as the research sample,using content analysis,discourse analysis,case analysis and comparative analysis methods,revolves around the following four issues:first,the report form and narrative strategies adopted?Second,what are the characteristics of discourse construction and color-coded representation of reports?Third,how to use the narrative perspective and focus of the report?Fourth,what kind of narrative framework does the report construct?This paper focuses on the micro research path of Jiaoji Railway report of Dazhong Daily in the war years from two aspects of news narration and vertical comparison.The paper is divided into five parts.In the introduction,the research significance,research object,research design and research status are summarized.The first chapter,from the perspective of revolutionary history,divides the research sample into three stages:the War of Resistance against Japan,the armistice transition and the War of Liberation.Dazhong Daily’s report on Jiaoji Railway always adhered to the party principle during the war and encouraged the masses with positive reports.However,the content and form were relatively simple,and concise military news constituted the main topics and genres of the report.The second chapter,starting from the construction of narrative discourse and the color representation of the narrative,reveals the discourse mechanism of military reports in which the narrator selectively highlights or conceals their positions and viewpoints,restoring the discourse brand of The Times in the war narrative and the local language characteristics in the local narrative.Chapter three explores the construction pattern and changes of wartime"stories" from the perspective of narrative and focus.The transformation of narrative perspective of Jiaoji Railway report from single to multiple and the shift of narrative focus from revolutionary to popular is the result of the transformation of war attributes,the transformation of enemy and friend identities,and the gradual maturity of media in the adjustment of propaganda strategies and reporting policies.The fourth chapter analyzes the"hero" prototype and the mainstream ideology frame in the Jiaoji railway report from the perspective of narrative framework.The construction of the archetypal narrative frame of"hero" is the subjective image of social psychology in the war period,and also the fusion expression of the consciousness of rights and the national spirit of heroic struggle and unremitting self-improvement.The transformation of ideology from nationality to people,which is hidden in the narrative framework,also shows the continuous development of spiritual connotation in the changes of times and society.
