Freedom is an eternal topic of human beings, and Heidegger,as a philosopher famous for constructed existential problems. He has his own unique views on freedom.Heidegger constructed his philosophical framework by restating the question of existence. He believed that human beings are free beings, but freedom is more than that.Human beings are also possessed by freedom. What really stands in the way of freedom, and what freedom means and significance to us,is still a subject we need to figure out.In modern society, people have acquired the freedom that was impossible in the feudal and war era.Modern expressions of freedom are constantly emerging, and definitions of freedom are constantly updated and added, which not only reflect people’s aspirations, but also make people shackled by freedom. Therefore, this paper through the study of Heidegger’s view of freedom to further understand Heidegger’s philosophy, and through philosophical thinking to clarify the way of getting along with people, people and society, people and the world,in order to reduce people’s pursuit of their own confusion, and make people set foot on the real road to freedom. This paper consists of three parts.Firstly, the background of Heidegger’s view of freedom is expounded from the aspects of philosophy, culture and social economy. At the same time, this paper investigates the ideological origin of Heidegger’s view of freedom, and focuses on the influence of Kant’s and Schelling’s view of freedom on Heidegger’s view of freedom.Secondly, through the investigation of “Road signs”,“On the Nature of Human Freedom” and other works, summed up the ideological connotation of Heidegger’s view of freedom--freedom is the essence of truth;Human freedom is limited;Freedom is freedom to the ground;Freedom is the capacity for good and evil, etc. Finally, this paper expounds Heidegger’s influence on later philosophers and enlightenment to our living world.Through Heidegger’s works,we hope to learn and understand Heidegger’s idea of freedom in a more comprehensive way, refine the connotation of his view of freedom and dig the theoretical significance of Heidegger’s view of freedom in a deep way.I hope to have a deeper understanding of freedom in exploring the road to freedom, and the courage to strive for and explore is the necessary way to obtain freedom.
