Research On The Design Of Cultural And Creative Products Of Thangka In Sichuan Museum’s "The Life Of Gesar"

The epic of Gesar is the world’s largest and longest heroic epic created collectively by the Tibetan people,mainly introducing the miraculous deeds of the hero Gesar on earth,profoundly reflecting the history,society,economy,faith and folklore of ancient Tibetan society,with high academic and artistic value.Among them,Among them,the eleven Qing dynasty Gesar painting thangkas in the Sichuan Museum collection are very representative.It is the most complete set of King Gesar paintings in China,depicting the magical life of Gesar from his descent to the heavenly realm to his return to the heavenly realm,and vividly reproducing the artistic charm of the epic.This paper takes the Sichuan Museum’s Gesar Painting Thangka as the subject of study,and on the basis of compiling the historical overview of the Gesar epic,the artistic characteristics and development status of the Gesar Thangka are then systematically sorted out.Among them,in-depth analysis of the aesthetic features in the Gesar Pictorial Tradition Thangka,including four aspects of picture structure,content analysis,character image and artistic characteristics,and the study of the unity of divinity and humanity in Gesar from the perspective of religion and psychology,and the excavation of the spiritual connotation of Gesar culture.Finally,combining with the actual project needs of the museum,from the questionnaire survey and relevant application cases to make a comparative analysis,using modern design language to find the cultural elements of Gesar culture in line with contemporary awareness,explore the expression of Gesar culture in the Sichuan Museum’s cultural and creative product design,so as to complete the visual image innovation and cultural and creative product development of the Gesar Pictorial Thangka.This project aims to explore the new path of inheritance of Gesar culture,bring more possibilities to the museum’s creative product development,combine people’s life attitudes and spiritual demands in today’s context by creating the "Gesar" creative brand,make the spirit of Gesar a more popular modern expression,and finally through the aesthetic design of the times At the same time,the research results can be directly used in the Sichuan Museum or Tibetan tourism industry,which is of great practical significance to give new vitality to Tibetan culture and expand the influence of ethnic culture.
