Purpose: By collecting the medical records of inpatients with Herpes zoster in the dermatology ward of the affiliated hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, summarizing the clinical data and treatment experience, and conducting regular follow-up,more standardized diagnosis and treatment ideas are provided for further optimizing the treatment plan of herpes zoster and preventing the sequelae of Herpes zoster.Material and method:Through retrospective analysis of the case data of herpes zoster patients hospitalized in the Department of Dermatology of the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 1,2021 to June 30,2022,306 patients were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and a database was established, including general data(gender, age, chronic basic disease),clinical data(onset season, first symptom, first diagnosis time, skin lesion location, and TCM syndrome type),Treatment methods(traditional Chinese medicine decoction, ordinary acupuncture,TDP magic lamp, ear tip bleeding, ear point seed pressing, routine western medicine treatment, etc.),curative effect and follow-up,etc.,and data were analyzed by SPSS 26.0 and SPSS Modeler.Results:1.General data: 306 inpatients with herpes zoster in this study,128 males and 178 females, more females than males; The youngest patient is 31 years old,the oldest patient is 94 years old,and the age range of 61-70 years old is the largest;165 patients were accompanied by chronic basic diseases.2.Clinical data: patients have onset in four seasons, mostly in autumn; In this study,196 patients(64.05%)had neuralgia and rash at the same time; The minimum time of first diagnosis is 1 day and the maximum time is 150 days; The most common site of skin lesions was the back, followed by the lumbosacral region; The included patients were divided into three syndrome types, namely, liver meridian stagnation heat syndrome, spleen deficiency dampness accumulation syndrome and qi stagnation blood stasis syndrome,of which 252 cases accounted for the most.2.Treatment: 306 patients were treated with traditional Chinese medicine decoction and combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment(ordinary acupuncture,TDP magic lamp, ear tip bleeding, ear point seed pressing)and conventional western medicine treatment(antiviral drugs, nutritional drugs, immunomodulatory drugs, analgesic drugs,glucocorticoids,etc.).4.Efficacy: the skin lesion score before treatment was(6.90±1.189)points,and the skin lesion score after treatment was(1.21±0.848)points.The difference between the skin lesion score before and after treatment was significant; The VAS score before treatment was(6.92±0.298)points,and the VAS score after treatment was(1.67±0.954)points.The VAS score before and after treatment decreased significantly; The syndrome score of patients with liver meridian stagnation syndrome before treatment was(11.281±2.919),and the syndrome score after treatment was(4.346±1.369);The syndrome score of patients with spleen deficiency and dampness accumulation syndrome was(6.593±2.623)before treatment and(2.036±0.635)after treatment; The syndrome score of the patients with Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome before treatment was(3.593±1.532),and the syndrome score after treatment was(1.364±0.516);Seven patients were cured,290 were improved, and 9 were not cured. The total effective rate was 97.06%;Of the 306 patients who completed the follow-up,a total of268 patients were still in pain one month after discharge,26 patients were still in pain two months after discharge,17 patients were still in pain three months after discharge,31 patients were numb, and the symptoms would worsen in rainy weather.Conclusion:1.In this study, patients with herpes zoster are mostly middle-aged and elderly people. The highest incidence rate is in autumn.Women are more than men,and most of them are accompanied by one or more chronic diseases.2.In this study, herpes zoster is most common in the chest and flank, lumbosacral region, head and face, and the liver meridian stagnation heat syndrome is the most common.3.In this study, the commonly used traditional Chinese medicine is mostly cold and bitter, and the meridians are mostly liver and heart meridians. The commonly used drugs are Chuanxiong, liquorice, vinegar corydalis, raw rehmannia glutinosa, and stir-fried chinaberry.Common drug combinations are Folium Isatidis-Radix Isatidis&Radix Rehmanniae,Glycyrrhizae-Gentiana&Chuanxiong,Folium Isatidis-Radix Isatidis&Gentiana,Folium Isatidis-Radix Isatidis&Gardenia. The commonly used medicine groups are Chuanxiong and liquorice, fried toosendan and vinegar corydalis,Chuanxiong and vinegar corydalis, liquorice and raw materials, vinegar corydalis and liquorice.4.Oral Chinese medicine decoction combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment has significant effect on improving VAS score and skin lesions. For older patients, the hospital stay can be appropriately extended to avoid the occurrence of post-herpes zoster neuralgia.
