The openness and inclusiveness of the Internet allows people to share their lives on social media anytime and anywhere, which also leads to a wide range of information exchange and dissemination among Internet users.Positive information exchange can help create a good online environment, while the dissemination of negative information may cause the rise of public opinion on the Internet, and some even spread false information under the protective jacket of the virtual network, forming an information epidemic or maliciously slandering others with irreversible consequences. Therefore,it is important to monitor and analyze the emotional tendency of the speech and information left by Internet users in online social media platforms.Analyzing the entities and phenomena involved in their texts and their causes can,to a certain extent, provide reference for relevant government departments and mainstream media to understand, explain and predict social phenomena, thus providing reference for decision-making on public opinion governance.Through comparative analysis,"Jilin Province Epidemic" was selected as the object of sentiment analysis.Based on this, the Chinese text is marked and scored. The BERT deep learning model was evaluated on this basis. The study relies on the evolution of Weibo buzzwords, life cycle theory and information dissemination theory to analyse sentiment in the time, event and information dissemination dimensions. The sudden increase in negative sentiment during the outbreak period originated from the uncertainty and unknown of Internet users, and as information continued to emerge, the level of sentiment expression returned to smooth fluctuation due to the low risk perception of Internet users. The results of the sentiment analysis reflected that the government information disclosure mechanism needs to be improved and the publicity and education on information literacy of Internet users needs to be strengthened;the double-sidedness of opinion leaders requires the full implementation of the real-name system on the Internet, the establishment of sound Internet legislation to institutionalize it and restrain the generation and dissemination of information epidemics;and the continuous enhancement of cultural self-confidence to guide a positive Internet environment.
