| Bryophytes have high aesthetic value, and have a good prospect in landscape application. However, there are few reports on the ornamental characteristics of bryophytes and the species of bryophytes suitable for plant landscaping. In this paper,7 representative urban parks(Huaxi Park,Huaxi Shilihetan National Urban Wetland Park,Guanshan Lake Park,Guiyang Karst Park,Luchongguan Forest Park,Denggaoyunshang Forest Park and Quanhu Park)in the built-up area of Guiyang City, which is rich in bryophyte resources, were selected as sample sites for the study. To explore the species, habitat preference, morphology and landscape characteristics of common bryophytes in the park, construct a comprehensive evaluation system of bryophyte ornamental value, and screen out the bryophytes with good ornamental value. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)There are a total of 75 species of bryophytes commonly found in Guiyang parks, belonging to 23 families and 38 genera, including 4 families,4 genera and 6 species of liverworts, and the rest are mosses.Brachythecium was the most represented out of the 38 recorded genera in our research. It contained 22.6% of the species.Bryophytes that occur more than 10 times are Eurohypnum leptothallum,Thuidium kanedae,Brachythecium buchananii,Plagiomnium acutum,Brachythecium fasciculirameum and Haplocladium angustifolium.Among the seven parks,Luchongguan Forest Park had the largest number of common bryophyte species, with a total of 10 families,16 genera and 27 species. The next is Guanshanhu Park, which contains 9 families,14 genera and 25 species of bryophytes. The park with the lowest number of moss species is Quanhu Park, with only 4 families,5 genera and 8 species..(2)The most bryophyte communities were found on rocks(42.79%),followed by soil(32.88%).The proportion of bryophyte communities distributed on flat land and steep slope was 45.50% and 41.89% respectively.46.40% and 39.64% of bryophyte communities were distributed in habitats with canopy coverage of 50%-74% and 75%-100%,respectively.At the same time,21 species of bryophytes can grow in two or more types of substrates and terrain, and 24 species of bryophytes can adapt to two or more levels of canopy coverage, and different bryophytes show different habitat preferences.(3)The bryophytes growing on the trunk were more likely to grow sporophytes, and their leaves were mostly tail tip(51.4%),slightly concave(60.0%),without folds(68.6%),and with fine teeth(71.4%).The bryophyte growth on flat land and gentle slope was mainly interwoven, and the co-occurrence frequency was 65.8% and 64.5%,respectively.In the environment with canopy coverage <25%,most bryophytes were cluster(60.0%),oval leaf(60.0%)and thick midrib(60.0%),which may play a role in the mechanism of resistance to strong light and drought. In the higher canopy coverage environment of ≥50%,the morphology with cooccurrence frequency greater than 50% had sporoidous growth, lateral sporoidality, fine teeth on leaf edges, and loose imbricate arrangement, which may play a role in the mechanism of sun acquisition and dark environment adaptation.(4)The 75 bryophytes were divided into 7 groups according to their sporophyte growth location, plant height or length morphology, sporophyte growth location, leaf and plant morphology.I: liverwort;Ⅱ : The same bryophyte can differentiate into multiple forms and is more likely to grow sporophytes;Ⅲ: Bryophyte plants with erect reproductive branches and creeping nutritional branches;Ⅳ: Acrocarpous mosses growing in clusters;Ⅴ: Pleurocarpous moss with simple morphological differentiation;Ⅵ: Bryophyte with bicentate leaf margin;Ⅶ:Mosses with a plant length of more than 25 cm.(5)The colors of 222 bryophyte communities were distributed in yellow,yellow-green,leaf green,yellow-toned green and green, and 68.92% of bryophyte communities were yellowgreen. On the whole, the texture of bryophytes varies little, and the grade is neither ~ not ~slightly, and slightly ~ average. The bryophytes of group Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ and Ⅴ are soft, compact, light, regular and delicate. The bryophytes of group Ⅰ,Ⅵ,Ⅷ show a slightly hard, loose, thick, rough and rough texture. The softness, compactness, lightness, regularity and delicacy of bryophytes decreased first and then increased with the change of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and reached the lowest in autumn.(6)The constraint layer weight of population landscape features is the highest, which is0.4406,indicating that the ornamental value of bryophytes is mainly reflected in their population landscape. The weight of standard layer indexes was the highest with the health status of bryophytes(0.1783),and the lowest with the height or length of bryophytes(0.0298),indicating that the growth status of bryophytes occupies an important low latitude in its comprehensive ornamental value. The comprehensive evaluation results showed that the overall scores of 75 bryophytes ranged from 1.393 to 3.597 points, and the ornamental value scores of most bryophytes were not different,56.0% of the bryophytes scored between 2 and 3 points, and 30.7% of the bryophytes scored more than 3 points.Group Ⅱ(3.286)had the highest score and group Ⅰ(1.834)had the lowest score.T.kanedae,E.leptothallum,Taxiphyllum taxirameum,Haplocladium microphyllum,P.acutum.have the highest comprehensive utilization value.Bryophytes such as Fissidens zippelianus.var.zippelianus,Bryum argenteum and Pogonatum inflexum have good group landscape effects and adaptability, but their plants are tiny and do not easily form large landscapes and are recommended for use in microlandscapes. |
