Evaluation Of Different Straw Feeds On The Growth And Development Of East Asian Migratory Locusts And Their Feed Nutritional Component

Locustamigratoriamanilensis(Megen)with xi gathered journey,the good,appetite is big,feeding wide miscellaneous characteristics,like eating corn,rice,tall oat grass and sedge gramineae and cyperaceae plants,rich in protein and mineral elements,with food,forage,medicinal and ornamental value,It is an important biological resource.Crop straw is the residual part of crops after harvest.Due to low recycling rate,it is often stacked and discarded at will,and is also regarded as waste,but it is also one of the resources that can be reused.Locusts prefer to eat gramineous crops.Therefore,this study took East Asian migratory locust as the research object,and fed basal diets with different contents(20% and 40%).60%,80%,100%)of corn and rice gramineous crop straw,locust consume ability of straw and the study’s influence on the growth of locusts,expect to feed and can use crop straw instead of green feed,reduce feed costs,at the same time consumption abandoned crop straw,to explore the efficient production of insect protein(against waste,change to harm the treasure)technology solutions;At the same time,the protein,fat and other nutritional components of adult locusts fed with different straw diets were measured to study whether the nutritional components of locusts changed after feeding straw diets,in the hope of producing locusts with high nutritional value with cheap feed,and providing scientific basis for the development and utilization of locusts resources.The main results are as follows:1.The optimal addition amount of corn straw and rice straw was 60% and 80%,respectively,for the fourth and older age of Oriental locusts.When the corn stalk content was 60%,the food intake was 538.55 g,the fecal sand content was 6.795 g,the weight gain was 4.805 g,the mortality rate was 31.67%,and the eclosion rate was 73.33%.20.17 kg corn stalk can be consumed per 1kg insect weight.When the rice straw content was 80%,the food intake was 532.750 g,fecal sand content was6.815 g,weight gain was 4.885 g,mortality rate was 28.33%,eclosion rate was 73.33%.26.17 kg rice straw can be consumed per 1kg insect weight.2.The nutritional composition of locusts fed with different straw diets changed as follows:The changes of nutrient composition in locusts fed with different corn stalk feeds were as follows: oat grass > basal feed > corn stalk 20%-80% feed;The protein content was as follows:oat grass > basal feed > corn straw 60% feed >corn straw 20%-40% feed > corn straw 80% feed;The fat content was: basal feed > corn straw content 20%-80% feed > oat;The carbohydrate content was as follows: oat grass > corn straw 80%-20% feed & GT;Basic feed.The changes of nutrient composition in locusts fed with different rice straw feeds showed that the water content of locusts was as follows: oat grass > basic feed > rice straw content20%-80% feed;The protein content was as follows: oat grass > basal feed > rice straw 80%feed > rice straw 20%-60% feed;The fat content was: basal feed > rice straw 20%-80% feed >oat grass,and carbohydrate content was: oat grass > rice straw 80%-20% feed > basal feed.
