The hysteresis phenomenon of the O-ring at the floating ring of the dry gas seal has a great influence on the normal operation of the dry gas seal equipment.The O-ring at the floating ring plays a vital role in the entire dry gas sealing system,and it is one of the key factors for the hysteresis phenomenon of the O-ring at the floating ring of the dry gas seal.The friction performance of the O-ring at the floating ring has a direct impact on the hysteresis phenomenon.The innovation of this article lies in the research and analysis of the O-ring seal produced by the dry gas seal floating ring,and the influence of the friction force of the O-ring seal at the floating ring on this hysteresis phenomenon.The hysteresis phenomenon of the O-ring at the floating ring of the dry gas seal is studied and analyzed as follows:(1)The hysteresis phenomenon of the O-ring at the floating ring of the dry gas seal is described,and the reason for this phenomenon is explained.And the hysteresis curve of the hysteresis phenomenon in this paper is explained.(2)Tribological experiments were carried out on the O-ring under different experimental conditions using the MMW-1 vertical universal friction and wear testing machine.O-rings of different specifications made of NBR and FKM were selected for the experiment.The law of the friction factor of the O-ring is analyzed,and the O-ring after the experiment is observed to provide experimental data support for the use of the O-ring.(3)Use ANSYS to build the finite element analysis model of the O-ring at the floating ring of the dry gas seal.To study the sealing performance of the O-ring at the floating ring under different operating conditions.The Von-Mises stress distribution and variation law of the O-ring ring at the floating ring under different operating conditions were analyzed.The contact width and contact pressure of O-ring at the floating ring under different operating conditions were analyzed.And using Coulomb’s law to calculate the friction force produced by the O-ring at the floating ring on the desired contact surface.(4)Using MATLAB software,the resultant force of the opening force,closing force,spring force and O-ring friction force of the dry gas seal structure is calculated.The influence of different movement amount and different medium pressure on the hysteresis phenomenon of O-ring at the floating ring of dry gas seal is analyzed.The hysteresis phenomenon of the O-ring at the floating ring of the dry gas seal is analyzed by using the hysteresis curve.The simulation analysis results are compared with the theoretical calculation analysis results,and the hysteresis phenomenon of the O-ring at the floating ring of the dry gas seal is analyzed.
