| September 21,2022 marks the 30 th anniversary of the establishment of China’s manned space engineering project.China’s space industry has entered a fast track of development.The world’s attention to China’s space engineering has also increased.This report uses the news from the Global Times as the material for translation practice and selects 18 pieces of news reporting the development of China’s space science and technology.Firstly,the Global Times is authoritative,and its news covers a wide range of fields,so its news is suitable for research and is an ideal material for rootless back translation.Secondly,through translation,it helps internal reference by analyzing Global Times’ news to provide references for future external communication.Thirdly,the author usually pays attention to science and tech news,and translating this type of news helps the author to learn the new progress of China’s air and space and broaden the scope of knowledge.Finally,with the guidance of Skopos Theory and Information Theory,through the detailed analysis of five kinds of difficulties encountered in the trans-editing process,the author put forward the corresponding strategies with practical value,including annotation,footnotes,and using well-accepted translation,dividing and restructuring long and complex sentences,conversing the passive voice to active voice,and adjusting the focus of the news by trans-editing the headlines and paragraphs.This process can help the author to improve translation ability,accumulate experience in translation.At the same time,the author hopes to provide some experience and reference for the future news trans-editing work. |
