| Flood disaster has become an important topic in ecological linguistics because of its sudden, highly destructive and persistent characteristics, which have a great impact on ecology.Reports related to floods reflect the responsibility of the media, and thus reflect the differences in ecological views between mass media and industry media. The ecological view held by the media is represented by discourse, which closely collaborates the three factors of "media-language-ecology".Based on the ecological discourse analysis and appraisal system, taking the flood disaster discourse of July 20 in Henan Province from mass media and industry media as the research object, selecting the representative corpus of China Science and Technology Network,China Environment Network and People’s Daily Online,we built our own flood disaster reporting corpus, formed the research logic from word to sentence and then to text, and constructed the research system from individual to the whole. We summarize the similarities and differences between mass media and industry media in ecological construction mode, and analyze their influence on news ecological transmission. On this basis, this paper explores the reconstruction of discourse ecology in order to realize the organic interaction between discourse and ecology. It is found that there are many differences between the two types of media in disaster reporting:In terms of words, mass media not only pay attention to time and space information, but also concern themselves with the reports on rescuing process, especially those rescuers and the rescued.Industry media focuses on meteorology and disasters caused by meteorology, and attach more importance to professional reporting, weather, environment and related factors, and pay more attention to the accuracy and professionalism of reporting. There are also differences in details in the staged reports.Under the general trend of media convergence, firstly,in order to help the media gain a steady stream of audiences, and secondly,in order to show the eco-friendly awareness of news,we believe that it is necessary for mass media and industry media to learn from each other in disaster reporting. At the same time,we find that both types of media reports on floods in Henan can learn from each other: First,in the early warning stage,People’s Daily reports should improve their accuracy on the basis of paying attention to breadth;Second, industry media should improve the ecology of disaster prevention and mitigation reports in terms of being close to the people and easy to read.Third, the industry media focus more on the early warning of new events in the fourth stage, thus should improve the follow-up ability of post-disaster reconstruction reports. In the resource distribution of appraisal system, the attitude resources of mass media and industry media are judgment > appreciation > emotion, but the distribution of mass media is more typical. In the reporting of sudden natural disasters, the two types of media generally follow the positive reporting orientation, showing a positive attitude tendency from the upward dimension. From the perspective of engagement resources, borrowing words has the function of expanding/compressing the dialogue space.By using five means:acknowledgement, consent, approval, initiation and rebuttal, mass media and industry media have realized the expansion of the dialogue space and is conducive to building an equal and inclusive dialogue relationship. And acknowledgement is the most used means of both. From the perspective of graduation resources, mass media pay more attention to regulating the engagement degree of attitude by adjusting focus, and mass media is dominant in the use of scope.Industry media are more neutral and objective, and report with more intensity, which is superior in the use of quantity resources. |
