Based on the language of the poet Paul Celan,a German poet, this paper explores printmaking in eyes of today’s viewers and the nature and significance of interactions between poetry and printmaking art. From the perspective of Paul Celan, this paper explores the subtle connection between poetry and painting. The first chapter consists of three parts, which mainly studies the poetic language of Paul Celan.By combing the contents of the poems, the author studies the novel and abstract language, the color language full of metaphor and the schema language between lines. In Paul Celan’s poems, the text consists of images such as "darkness","fracture" and "silence",colors such as black, white, gray, blue, green and red,and the schema language set up by Giselle Letrange,Anselm Kiefer upon the poetic elements. The author believes that different languages respectively correspond to Celan’s situations, mental states and ways of life, and the text, color and schema language coincide with the profound expression of prints, which has become an important way of printmaking. The author analyzes and studies features of connection between Celan’s poems and prints one by one, which lays the foundation for the later study of poetry and painting. The three parts of the second chapter mainly discuss the characters of Paul Celan and the artistic attributes of printmaking. The author will study the artistic attributes of printmaking in the aspects of "times","symbols" and "plate printing" through the features of "reflection","word formation" and "context" of words. The three parts of the third chapter are based on the "poetic construction" of the use of print to make a specific discussion. It is a careful study of the "connotation","creation" and "language" of printmaking in combination with the poetic "thoughts","images" and "connotation",and discusses the emotion and empathy of printmaking conveyed in Paul Celan’s poetic nature. The fourth chapter is divided into two parts, combining Paul Celan’s poetic language with the author’s own creative content, and then expounding the author’s understanding and perception of printmaking in the process of learning.
