| Qingming Festival is a large-scale traditional sacrificial festival in China,integrating customs such as tomb sweeping,outings,and eating Qingming cakes.Among them,tomb sweeping is the most important and representative custom.Qingming Festival,unlike other traditional festivals,is the only day in China that is both a solar term and a festival,with both cultural and natural connotations.The formation of the Qingming Festival combines the customs of the Cold Food Festival and the Shangsi Festival,containing cultural connotations such as being cautious in pursuing the distant end,showing respect for morality,being close to nature,and a strong traditional filial piety culture.At present,China’s influence in the international community is becoming increasingly prominent,and cultural confidence is particularly important.However,the excellent traditional Chinese culture has gradually declined due to the impact of foreign culture,modern civilization,and epidemic prevention and control measures,and the Qingming Festival is one of them.In response to the development of excellent traditional Chinese culture in the current social environment,a case study and thematic study were conducted in Bei’e Village,Cengong County,which still implements the Qingming Festival custom in a traditional way.On the basis of thorough field research,a comprehensive analysis is conducted on the obtained materials using structural functional theory and cultural interpretation theory,in order to explore more effective local response plans for the creative transformation and innovative development of China’s excellent traditional culture.The research content is divided into three parts,including introduction,main text,and conclusion.Among them,the introduction section mainly introduces the background of the topic selection,the reasons for the topic selection,research review,research methods,and theoretical basis.The main text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the historical evolution,natural environment,and cultural environment of Bei’e Village,Cengong County,where the field is located;The second chapter traces the origin of the local Qingming Festival customs in Bei’e Village,recounting the origin of the Qingming Festival,as well as the origin of local tomb sweeping etiquette and distinctive food customs;The third chapter describes the current situation of Qingming Festival customs and culture in Bei’e Village,as well as the changes in traditional Qingming customs and culture.Chapter 4 delves into the rich connotations and functions of Qingming Festival customs and culture in terms of education,cultural development,social construction,and ethnic unity,based on their expression content;The fifth chapter focuses on analyzing the impact of Qingming Festival customs and culture in the current social environment and the necessary adjustment strategies.The Qingming Festival custom has been passed down to this day,and it no longer only represents personal mourning for family members and friends,but also a sacrificial activity at the national and country’s levels.The depth and breadth of its connotation have also been extended,and its historical,social,and educational value has become more prominent.However,with the development of society and the impact of modernization,how to maintain integrity and innovate is a problem that the Qingming Festival customs are facing and urgently need to be solved.Tracing the history of the Qingming Festival and looking back at the disappearance of the Cold Food Festival has played a good warning role for the development of existing festivals in China.We can start from government leadership,connotation exploration,cultural education,and public awareness to guide the Qingming Festival towards a green and sustainable direction,ensuring that the festival culture effectively serves individuals,society,and the country,so that the festival can continue to flourish. |
