Northern Shaanxi Yulin Ditty "Five Elder Brothers Herding Sheep" Singing Analysis

This paper takes the northern Shaanxi Yulin ditty "Five Brother herding Sheep" as the research object.Through the collection of relevant literature,the author deeply analyzes the singing skills based on the existing research results and combined with the author’s own singing practice,which can better present it in the concert.The whole text is divided into four parts: the first part is the overview of Yulin ditty in northern Shaanxi;the second part is the analysis of the works,including a brief analysis of the melody characteristics,language characteristics and style characteristics;the third part is the singing analysis of the song,including the accent,pronunciation and how to grasp the style.It is the key part of this topic,which explains the singing analysis and treatment of the work;the fourth part is divided into the presentation of "Five Brother Sheep" concert,which mainly discusses how to present the work in the concert.This paper expounds some insights and singing experience gained by the author through the research and singing practice.Because of its beautiful and cheerful melody,singing characteristics and vivid artistic image,it continues to this day and is widely sung.As a classic local folk song,"Five Brother herding Sheep" is worth discussing and learning.Local folk song is also one of the required courses that ethnic vocal music learners need to master.Through the analysis and study of this work,I hope to take this as an example to better grasp part of the singing skills of the Chinese ethnic singing method.
