There have been many writings on The Book of Songs over the years,but few have focused systematically on its oral creation and transmission,with specific theoretical discussions.Through careful study of excavated and transmitted documents,oral creation and oral transmission played an important role in the early creation and transmission of The Book of Songs.By combining the social context of the time,political and cultural systems,and documents excavated in recent years,this paper seeks to explore the internal features and external manifestations of the oral creation and oral transmission of The Book of Songs from multiple perspectives,and to analyse the reasons for the oral creation and oral transmission of The Book of Songs in order to enrich the study of poetics.The Book of songs’ oral creation and dissemination are the focus of this paper,which is divided into four parts: an introduction,the oral creation,the oral dissemination,and the conclusion.The introduction elucidates the research status,purpose,and importance of oral creation and communication of the Book of songs.This paper examines the social context of the Book of Songs,categorizing and arranging its contents.It then elucidates the formation of the Book of Songs,and evaluates the general process of its production and dissemination.Exploring the oral production of the Book of songs,the initial chapter delves into its comprehension and definition.The first is an overview of the state of oral creation of preQin literary works.The majority of pre-Qin literary works were composed and transmitted orally,and were later recorded in writing.However,there are still traces of oral composition in the surviving texts of the Book of songs.Next,we analyse the manifestations of oral composition in terms of the collective nature of the creative activity,the oral nature of the language,and the evocative nature of the creative form.The collective nature of the composition is shown in terms of the collective creation and collective re-creation of the poems in circulation;the oral nature of the language is discussed in terms of the use of set phrases,lined words,and repeated chapters and choruses;and the existence of the text is analysed in terms of the expository nature of the composition.Finally,the artistic style,rhetorical techniques,writing skills and expressions of the poems are analysed in terms of the artistic hand characteristics of the oral composition of the Book of songs.Exploring and delving into the oral communication of the Book of songs,the second chapter begins by elucidating the concept of oral communication is clarified.First of all,it is important to define oral transmission.Although the Spring and Autumn period of the Book of songs was also written down,oral transmission was still its main mode of transmission due to the limitations of writing materials and the social environment.The reasons for oral transmission are then analysed in the light of the social environment,the development of material civilisation and the development of spiritual culture at the time.Next,the subject and medium of the oral transmission of the Book of songs are studied from a communication perspective,namely the transmitter and the recipient and the spoken medium.The main modes of oral transmission are discussed in terms of poetry collection and dedication,performance and singing,transmission by teachers and teachers,the writing of poems and the quotation of poems in words.Finally,some of the influences of oral communication on the Book of songs are analysed. |
